WTF?

After like a million and a half years, The Pettit Project have changed their name to Love You to Death? WTF?!

Yes! THE PETTIT PROJECT has changed its name!!! to:

Love You To Death

Yup, the Pettit Project, will now be called Love You To Death! We were tired of people pronouncing and spelling our name wrong all the time. Also nobody ever understood what we were saying when we told them our name. People can be so silly! But its okay, because we're really happy about Love You To Death. Its badass and cute and fits us well.

So what does that mean for the band? Well we still have the same members and same songs. Our first album "cheeROCKracy" will stay a Pettit Project release and available as such. But we are re-releasing (and largly re-recording and remixing) or second album "6 Week Summer Vacation in Hell" under the new band name, as we were never really happy with the performance, and felt the songs weren't done justice. So that will be re-released along with our online EP, which will be exclusively on iTunes, with the addition of a new song called "What I Want" and a new version of "99 Lives"!

Also, our new album "Super Awesome Best Party" will be coming out this spring as planned! We're still super excited about that release.

Anyway, we'd love if you could help spread the word. We've got a really big year coming up, and we are SO appreciative of your support. Pettit fans were the best fans in the world, and we hope for your continued support as Love You To Death fans!

Its all just another step to bringing you more and more music for years to come.

Love,
Scotty

Yes, this is a bigger deal to me than the writer's coming back or whatever else is happening in the world. At one point in time, I half considered moving to Canada to join the band about 5 years ago. They sent out an open call via Street Team Email. To this day, I'm not sure why I didn't.

Here is The Pettit Project Love You To Death's Myspace just in case I have never forced you to listen to them. On my list of all time bands, they are definitely in my Top 5 (Silverchair being #1 of course).
